A little over a yr ago, I bought a CA narrow front, out of a storage unit. It was only slightly stuck, and freed up easily. It was pin hitch, with all of the drawbar missing, but had a home made 3 -pt attempt, with 2--2 way cylinders, hanging off the rear, and they were plugged on one end, and plumbed for single action. After rebuilding the hand clutch, both brakes, and replacing all seals, where I removed the rear housings, I was wondering what to do with the 3 pt.I had an extra, aftermarket 3 pt, from Tonys Tractors, that I didn't need, but was made to hook to a snap coupler. I sawed the loop off the end and welded a short length of sch.40 pipe in place of it. I bought a pin to fit the hole, and put the 3 pt on, then mounted the existing cyl's and plumbed them, for double acting, to a valve that I mounted on the right fender. I ran the return hose under the tranny, and into the fill hole on the tranny, and ran my in hose to the original valve on the pump. I tied the original handle open, with a home made bracket, so it is always open. I tried using the tractor, and liked it, except it needed float on the valve, and didn't have it. Yesterday. I finally replaced the control valve, with one with float, but havent got around to starting it up and trying it. I still want to weight the front with about 200 lbs, but can;t wait to throw the 2-14 mounted on it to see what she will do! I hope it will be close to a modern hydraulic system.
