Massey 85 clutch help!

Bought a Massey 85 gas and the clutch was out of it, one side of disc completely gone. Had a clutch shop re-line the disc. Put it all back together and the tractor will barely pull itself. Have only like an inch of clutch pedal. Its like the pressure plate does not have enough pressure on the disc. Is there a way to adjust this like bringing the fingers farther out, or is there something else in the pressure plate not putting enough pressure on the disc? This one has the spacers between clutch cover and flywheel and pto drive hub and flywheel. The clutch shop suppose to have looked at pressure plate. Do I need a new one? HELP!

The pedal would go all the way to the step, until I adjusted it out to the 3/8-inch recommended. Does this mean something is a-miss in the pressure plate?

Does sound like pressure plate trouble. Have a look with the bottom plate off, and have a helper work the pedal up and down, plate should pull away from the disc when down , and clamp tight against the disc when up. Maybe you can see what is going on.
