The answers I got on the last post was very helpful. Because i did't know diddley squat about those cluthes. So i tried it works in low & high range but does not stop the tractor when its in the middle, any ideas?

What tractor do you have?? Do you have the I-T manual for it?? I know my D-17 when cold and in the lower gears will creep in the neutral position and that is very common on them

Like old says, they tend to creep when cold. Light foot pressure on the brakes should hold it, otherwise per the I&T AC 17 manual. Too complicated to detail here.

its a d 14 got got it manual coming had it in 2nd gearwhen i pulled it back, did,nt try the brakes, when i pulled the lever back you could'nt tell it. i'll try the brakes tomorrow.

My D-17 will pull in first and 2nd like that cold and when warm in 1st. 2nd some times depending on where you are. Hitting the brakes on the other hand will stop it in all gears

The Power Director runs in gear oil and thats where it gets the drag. Colder the oil more the drag.
