Hitch for 66 all crop combine. Pic anyone?

Does anyone have a picture of the hitch used on the 66 combine? Was it in common with any other Allis implement?

Is the hitch necessary for functionablity of the combine? Can it be retrofitted with a different part or perhaps just a normal clevis hitch?

If in fact it is necessary is there a common part than can be substituted for the factory hitch?

My dad purchased a pretty nice 66 that has been in a barn for around 40 years. The hitch appears to be missing. It is around 5 miles from home. he wanted to go over with the tractor this weekend to pick it up and wanted to be prepared.

The 66 and many other AC machines used a ball hitch, but the design was proprietary to AC. Ball on the tractor had a ring below it, and when hooking up, the hitch was lowered to the tractor, the ring raised up and located in one of four locations til the pin in the combine hitch would latch in place. Ball hitch was used on silage blower, baler, rake, combine. If you want to convert to a tongue hitch, unbolt the factory ball hitch and make a hitch like on a wagon. I googled AC ball hitch and collar, and got no hits, no pic.

My old Allis 60 had that same proprietary Allis ball hitch. Previous owner converted it to a conventional clevis hitch by drilling a hole thru the ball socket part and adding a lower strap. Something like that's probably your best bet.

My older AC equipment is all converted to a normal pin/clevis style hitch like a hay wagon.

I have one of the ball's with the lower ring and one of the original implement ends. Should take a picture.

I have two old All-Crops '39 and '45 both have a cast iron clevis hitch. Just acquired a manual, cover missing so no date, it shows only the ring ball hitch. Go ahead fabricate a clevis hitch. One of mine had the hitch broken off when they got it out of the barn, I towed it home with a chain attached to a clevis to a 3 point hitch arm. GREASE THE WHEEL BEARINGS BEFORE YOU MOVE IT

Finally found our old ball hitch for the Allcrop. The one you're looking for, to be original, looks something like this:
