I need to change the sleeves/ pistons in a 1981 MF 285.
After looking at the oil pan, I noticed that the front part of the oil pan has 2 bolts/spacers connected to the front end. There are 4 other bolts that attach the front end to the engine block, so if I take the 2 bolts out connected to the oil pan, my tractor shouldn't collapse....right?
I am pretty sure it won't, I just wanted to run it by somebody with more experience in with the MF285.
Any other words of advice on cylinder sleeve removal and re-installation?
