I am looking at buying a Massey Harris 44. The tractor is straight and in OK condition. It has alloy of leaks and need to have a good tune up. The tires are fair. None of the lights work. And it has a few other little items that need attention. What is a fair price on something in this condition?

I would think $1500 is a fair price. They are a great tractor, but parts are hard to find and expensive. I would get an IH or JD if you do not have personal feelings for MH.

Just to clarify, I have a MH44, and red and green ones, so I am not biased.

I think $1500 is kinda high, I'd say 11-1200. Went to a sale yesterday and 3 out of the 5 44's went to scrap. Depending where you are parts aren't that hard to find if you look around.
