weighing down the front end for a mf35

what percentage of the rear weight of the 3 point hitch implement do you have to add to the front end to balance the tractor, so the steering is normal. I seem to recall 40%. I've taken off my loader and have loaded tires up front. My land is very rolling so steering control is very important! Thanks for any help.

Is this the tractor you are putting the snowblower on? Then put the loader back on too... you will need something to move the stuff that doesn't fall like talcum powder...

Hi John,
You can't underestimate the necessity for total control of the front end of the tractor in your conditions. Ideally the MF frame and a suitable number of wafer weights would be correct. Frames are around £60 and weights around £25 each. If you have access to a drill and welder you can fabricate a bracket and box to mount onto the axle casting. It can be filled with any bits of heavy scrap but try to keep it all as low as possible. Don't forget to grease the steering and check your tyre pressures.. With all that extra weight you might be needing arms like Popeye's!!!!!

Yes the the snow blower now a a 2 furrow plow in the spring. The loader needs lots of work. I'd like to replace my trip bucket loader with an industrial type with a larger bucket.

Load up front Tires with 50/50 Anti freeze. Tractor will steer better, plowed ground dosen't beat the steering box or end's and the weight's as low as you can get.Loaded mine 2 years ago around 200lb each, made TO35 just right.
