Hey guys,
Any of you know the tune up specs for a MF 135 I'm thinking about buying. Can't find too much on the archives concerning the gas model. Is this a reliable motor? I have a TO 35 but need a little more power to use my NH square baler. I have my eyes on a '71 model with a bush hog. If the hour meter is correct it only has 1300 hours on it. It has sat for awhile and had to rebuild the carb. I plan to throw a tune up kit on it, but can't find the specs anywhere. Sorry for ramblin. Thanks in advance for the help

If you are looking for more power then the 135 is basically the same tractor as your TO-35...... keep searching for something bigger. Other than the engine and sheet metal the 135 is identical to a TO-35. Only about a 5 hp difference between the Z-134 continental in your 35 and then Ad3-152 in the 135. Sounds like you need a 65/165/175 massey

The 3 cyl. Perkins gas is just about as bullet proof as the diesel version and is also very fuel efficient. It uses a lot of diesel components. The 135 has several significant improvements over the TO 35.

I got to go with gearhead on this. It seems all 3 going full bore barely equals the 4 in your TO35. If it was a diesel Perkins 135, yeah, a bit more power and torque, but you might find a 65 or 165 for even less money, because 135's are so handy for all sizes of operations.
My baler needed every ounce of 65 horses. But if it is a nice 135, and the price is right...just save up for a bigger baler tractor for next year.
