I have a Massey Ferguson MF 135 with three cylinder perkins gasoline engine and 6 speed tranny. I just rebuilt the engine. I have noticed that when I raise my brush hog to transport, I hear a knocking sound coming from under the seat. Probably in the lift mechanism? Any ideas about what to do?

Massey is famous for a knock coming from the hydrolic pump.
Sometimes if you lower the 3 point just a hair it will reduce the knocking.
I have ran them with this condition for years with no noticable problems.

Are you putting the position control in constant
pumping position? That is all the way back and will
cause the knocking. Just lower the implement a few
inches.
