Helped my son today. he kept 2 grain carts and an 800 bushel grain truck busy until we had to wait for the dryer to catch up. He has the 9650sts, special edition with the yellow cab top!!!

Waiting for the dryer to catch up reminds me of my friend. He's got a 6 row combine and lots of wagons but just a 2 row dryer. He picks for 6 hours and runs his dryer 18 hours to catch up.

We run a 9770 w/8/row 30 chopping head, one 1100 bu cart, and two semis 3 total people and usually can pick 160ac in about 14 hours. Our corn is better than we expected as we are dry and is around 17/18%.Usually stay under 6MPH.They guys w/12 rows have two carts 3 semis and 6 people and probably only do another 20ac.

At least he can see where he is going. I called a friend about a load of lime yesterday. He has a new 975 HP Claas chopper that must chop twelve rows. I assumed that it has auto steer but he said that it doesn't. He has to sit there all day not able to see anything but corn in front of him, and on his right, and a truck on his left. I wouldn't enjoy that.

It matters not how large the extension be, ye roof still be yellar. LOL. Deere should just smarten up and paint the cab top yellow.
I guess if it didn't have the extension then the corn would just run down between the tank and cab...
