Harvest begun

Well, picked a combine, put the bean head on, and started harvest this fall.

Not sure what they are running, had to follow a drier bean that I planted in different patches, and with a wider header I'm not sure what my yield is for the first time out, but for as dry as it was look not too bad.

Feels good to get started.

They say some real rain is coming between now and Sunday, could be 3 inches in some places. That would be just perfect for the year, too much rain and snow all of May, then bone dry July, August, and September, then throw in a monsoon for harvest time...... Would be just fitting.

I started running soy's yesterday. Averaged 12.5 moisture, 65 bu/acre. Mid-Michigan. I'll run as long as I can today, cause the rain hits tomorrow, and they say it will remain thru Sunday.
