I have a 1953 wide body front end CA tractor with a woods
belly mower under it I would call it in fair to good condition
I"m trying to figure out what it might be worth I am moving
and can"t take it with me

The smaller Farmalls and AC's are fairly popular with a belly mount mower- folks with the 10 acre McMansions get a little farm cred when they mow with a vintage machine. I'd say $1,500, but you need to advertise where the swells will see it- a good picture on the bulletin board at the local farm store would be a good bet.

The belly mowers aren't worth much any more since the zero turns have taken over. The mower by itself is worth $250-$350.

Troube is,after they get the darned things and find out they don't have powersteering and live power, they're for sale again. The suburban housewives aren't fond of jumping on them and getting a tan while they mow the lawn. They'll end up with arms like a pro wrestler.

B and C had transmission pto but the CA had the hand clutch on the axle for live hyd and pto. A bit clumsy, especially with clutch and hyd lever both on right side.

I do not know where big ru is but could make a good living selling ca s . In this part of the country one with good tires and a belly mower would sell for 8 to twelve hundred max IF you could even get and offer. Every one wants a compact diesel engine, power steering and live power. Just a lot more 30 + year old tractors than folks wanting to buy one. I have seen some running ca s bring $ 500 or so at sales this year.
