been aggravated at my remote controls thinking they were running down the batteries too fast. just figured out that when they are cold they dont work.(energizer 2032 -3volt-lithium) any thing that will work when cold. oh by the way I use the opener to get my TRACTOR in & out!!

I use rechargeable AA batteries in my digital camera when I'm on the job.

Sometimes when it's real cold, I can only get 8 or 10 pics before they give up and I have to switch. Under any conditions, I always carrry a spare pair of charged batteries in my pocket, and sometimes all I have to do is put the cold batteries in my pocket and warm them up and they're OK again.

But, I also keep a charger plugged in in my car.

Perhaps you should carry the remote in your pocket. That's where I carry my remote for the pole barn.

When I worked at Bethleham Steel, in the winter, I would have to carry my electricial tape in pocket to keep it warm enough to use.
