A K day picture

Well doggone it. Somebody mentioned Keck Gonnerman on K day. My brother in law has one but I didn't remember having a picture of it. I just found it. That's him running it on the sawmill at Oakley a year or two ago.

Me too! I had to run up there last weekend to the swap meet.
Didn't stay long, just long enough to get what I needed and look around a bit.
Was that a K-G at the Stanton show? I only got a glimpse of it from a
distance and I know next to nothing about them.

What is the reason for using such long belts? curious.

Several reasons first is to get tractor away from the machine second and important is to get the belt tight without putting extreme load on the bearings as the wt of the long belt is easier to stop belt from stipping as the wt of the belt helps keeping the belt tight enough. Mite be hard for you to understand if you have never had experience with belt drives using flat ones.
