Gravely Rotary Plow

Hi Gentelmen,
I have my Gravely Rotory Plow disassembled and didn"t find a gesket between the (2) castings. Is this right? Want to be sure there are no leaks! Thank you any help much appreciated.

I don't see a gasket - i'd put a little silly-cone gasket maker stuff on there if you're worried about it leaking...

Hi Ray,
You are right there isn"t any, but I am going to apply a thin coat of sealer on it anyway and also to the threads of all the screws/bolts. I did apply some silicone release agent to the seals to soften them up, hopefully enough so they won"t leak. Thank you.

Hi Ray,
The plow is all back together now and will add oil to see if there are any leaks.
There is (1) problem though! Can't find out how that bracket is suppose to be set up, to make the adjustment to the plow angle? Seems like there are lots of spacers, nuts, bolts, and washers? Would you happen to have any pictures or set up proceedure? Thank you.

Bob,
Yup, whole bunch o' washers and such, I don't have anything that shows the set up - so iffn you can wait 'till Tuesday, I'll stop at my dads and get a picture. All my tractors are at my dads, he's 89 and it "keeps him busy" wit all them tractors!!

Hi Ray,
Those sure are nice looking Gravely"s. My (3) are all L8 walk behinds, and are in need of lots much paint.Still have plenty of work to do on them, and some more parts to purchase. It is nice your dad can get around and stay busy. Thats what I want to do just keep going.
Thank you Ray for the help. The folks on this forum are just so nice, and helpful. It gives me confidence to get right in to it.
