Early Case 310 Dozer

Found an early Case 310 dozer for sale that I"m kind of interested in. Owner says it hasn"t ran in a few years, so it should need a basic tune up to get running. It"s a gas engine. He says the undercarriage isn"t perfect, but it"s pretty good for its age. He"s asking $1700 for it. Does that sound like a good price for it? It doesn"t look too bad from the picture, but I haven"t gone to look at it in person yet. Any input would be appreciated.

If it has a 6 way inside blade it's a great price. If it's an outside blade - that's an OK price if it's useable for awhile as is. Not running and a bad undercarriage can make worth around scrap metal value. I paid $2800 for my 310G with an inside 6 way blade and a 188 diesel engine and it needed bottom rollers and track adjusters. Engine ran great when I got it. (still does).
