Help me decide on my next purchase...diesel or gas?

I'm still debating back and forth. I'm still thinking about finding a diesel 35, I've found a very nice MF 35 deluxe gas but I'm thinking I would be better off with a diesel because of them being easier on fuel. The tractor will be used a lot. Give me your honest opinions or if you have had both let me know if you could notice the difference in fuel usage between the two. Thank you.

It belongs to a friend of mine. He doesn't have it up for sale but he told me he would sell it to me if I wanted it.

My only problem is that a diesel 135 will bring as more than a lot of 165's and 175's. My 175 is a 1974 model, 8 speed, had a little over 4000 hours when I bought it and I only gave $4200.00 for it. Most diesel 135's I have seen for sale are $4500.00 to $5500.00 while the gas versions are around $3500.00 in this area. Tony..why are you laughing? I honestly am leaning more towards a diesel 35 since they are usually quite a bit cheaper than a 135 diesel. I would even take a standard diesel version. I guess I would have to learn to light a torch and stick it in the air intake to crank it...lol

Tonys not laughing he is about to sneeze after building them darned z134s in the snow . Now how do you fix a crack in them blocks?
Tony has got smoke and I have got milky oil....I think the smoke is easier to cure!!!

Alas, a prophet is never known in his own time...
Ok, just wait till tomorrow night... when... weather permitting, the z134 goes back on a bellhousing... to finish the rebuild, to try starting up... to sit there for awhile. Why? Next step? Take the front clip off the 23C- to change the timing chain... the latest hunch? theory? lucky charm? the last resort to cure the illness ... IF it still smokes after that, the engine comes off its 35 back half, the 134 goes on there, and Jason - or 2, don't fight over it, but I will need another live pto back half to round out my empire... royal straight flush fergie style...
The only really impressive diesel I ever had was a '76 Peugeot 504... the same one as inspector Clouseau's boss... chief inspector Deyfus? The guy with a nervous twitch and a straight jacket? Was that because he owned a diesel??

ha...haha...hahaha....hahahahahahahahah
