Cat D3 Fuel Problem

Running a Cat D3 and it just stopped running. Slowly sputtered out. Cranked it over and it starts but runs very slow. If I give it any throttle it just dies out. Changed the fuel filter and that did not change anything.

Loosen fuel line at pump and make sure line from tank runs free to start with.

also check the screen at this connection to the transfer pump--it catches debris from the tank

2nd on the checking the screen on the transfer pump!!! I went through that and it was definitely the problem after I tried everything else. The machine is about an hour away from me and I should have printed what people were telling me on here. The screen on my 931B is in a longer hexagon piece on the inlet to the transfer pump. It is removable from the inside with an allen wrench.
