The 23C sputtered and shook and roared back to life.... and has been struggling to breathe ever since... all of us have been struggling for fresh air since then...

That looks about right, take 'er for a rip through the neighborhood. Let me know if you learn any new expletives.

Tony, I was just thinking about a year ago. How is the F40 coming?

Tomorrow (thanksgiving morning) would be one year from when I seen it on C-list and took a ride over to look a it.

That's right! It was Thanksgiving that I bought it, Rich said if I didn't buy it he was going to let the turkey sit on the counter in Michigan and come out here with his trailer... I bought the 40 just so he family wouldn't get food poisoning...
Hey just brought home a 202 from the same area-Wales. That might be another tear down like this was, with limited sucess- obviously.
The 40 starts and runs fine, most all the bugs are out of it- the grill is a real coocoo clock, I can see why farmers thru half of them away. Fine except it still stears like a bear- unless there is something heavy in back. The old one rib tires might be part of the problem, but the 40 has no where near the bad luck as this one.... actually, the rear of this might get swapped with the industrial one from Wales, atleast the sorry engine will be mated to the sorry arse end...

Forgot the pic of the 40.. and 202. These were posted somewhere a week ago- here or MF forum? The 40 has a set of normal 28 wheels and rims now, I mounted a pair of good tires-but- I had to loosen and weld up the original PA's, of course once you free them up, they start to clunk, that irritated me after awhile, so I found a nice set on CL- and they got new tubes and went from Ford grey to MHF rustoleum almond.

Looks like you kept sheetmetal like it was? Good to see it back on all 4 wheels and operational. I assume the loader went to scrap??

I almost bought this tractor, on Thanksgiving 2011, but was checking out a TO-35 in Brookfield that weekend. I ended up buying the Standard 35. I am still on the hunt for a T0-35 Deluxe or MF-35, but have to sell a few pieces to get funds and space.

The 202 looks like it has a nice loader on it, does it have power steering?

Yeah, the 202 has power steering, I figured that was worth what I paid for the whole thing. The loader off the F40 is going to 2 tractor's collection... it will fit his 50. Actually, I don't think the cylinders went up and down too often. It was engineered to come off in a matter of seconds, I hate to admit I have 5 other loader tractors... That 40 had a weird life.

Do I get the power steering too? Bring it on down and stay awhile. Got my rental close to being good to go.I can't decide what to trade.
