ok, been working on and off for a time,,can't get timming right, other club members trying to help,, is their any one/place that i can get the info/pics on the firing order on my oliver cle-trac h-g,,, thanks bob

I believe those machines had a Hercules flat head engine,if that's what you got the firing order is 1-2-4-3, #1 is at the front end, remove the four spark plugs, you now need to remove the mag cap, turn the engine in its normal direction of rotation by hand and note the direction the rotor turns, now block the #1 plug hole with your thumb and turn the engine till you feel the compression against your thumb, the engine is coming up on compression stroke of #1 cylinder, the flywheel timing mark should come into view in the timing hole on the bell housing, set the mark to the pointer, now check where the rotor is pointing to in the mag cap, that lead should go to #1 cylinder. the next lead in the direction the rotor turns goes to #2 cylinder, then the next to #4 and the last to #3.with the points clean and gapped correctly put the cap back on,put in the plugs and try for a start.
Good luck
