Cool Season Grasses and Frost

I know that with sorghum sudan, johnson grass, etc, its a no-no to cut close after a frost due to toxicity issues and theres timing before and after frost for cutting alfalfa.

But what about cool season grasses like Timothy, orchard grass and fescue? Any reason to cut before or after a frost? Im thinking of left over stand life going into winter after cut and hay quality.

Any sage advice is much appreciated!

Sorghum/Johnson grass hay cut after frost or stress that may contain Prussic acid poisoning will be fine to feed to livestock after storing baled hay for 30 days. Local veterinarian advised me that storage time causes PA to dissipate.

Seems PA is a problem with Sorghums with Johnson Grass being in the Sorghum family, thus needs monitoring. Never heard of problems with other grasses and one of my pastures is KY 31 and the other JG.
