productive day?

Spent the morning setting out a pump and sprinkler pipe on a pasture. Then started pump and pipe on an established hay field. It was after 10:30 when I finally got to the tractor and plow (JD 4650 and 4200 4-18). Went and plowed out 30 acres of winter killed hay and 2 field adjacent food plots. While plowing out the winter kill Sod, I came to a couple conclusions, 1st the transmission on in the 4650 is fine. When 4-18's will bring the front end of a MFWD 4650 off the ground 18" the trans isn't slipping. 2nd I think I better start looking for a weight bracket and hang some more weight on the front..

The good news is both pumps ran there full sets.
I got some much needed ground work done and much needed "seat time therapy"

In this time of Confusion in the world " FARM ON"

I had 18 guys from the tractor club show up today to plow about 26 acres. I plowed with the Oliver Super 55 and a two bottom Dearborn plow. We had it done in about two and a half hours, would have been done sooner, but most took some long breaks to watch the rest. That freed up some time to fix the brake calipers on the pickup.

When in doubt throw some ballast on it ! I modified a weight bracket from a 4850 to fit my 4020 and I?ve had all 20 weights on it plowing out old hay ground more than Once
