Corn tasseling already

We have had it so hot here that the corn is tasseling already this year it's unbelievable how the corn has grown but beans are looking pretty bad

I have some sweet corn in my garden that stands at least 9 foot tall if not closer to 10 foot. Forming ears right now so may have some corn to eat soon. But other then being a month behind my garden is going crazy but the bad thing is as dry as it is I have been having to water it a lot

I can't seem to grow corn here. One place at 1600 ft one place at 2900 ft. Temps 90-102. Corn 2' tall is starting to tassle, drying up and dying. Younger corn is dying. I am watering twice a day. Corn grows fine in the valley with the same temps.
Grasshoppers killed everything at 1600 ft place.

Do you water during the day or at night?? I have found it is better to water at night but I also use a irrigation type sprinkler so I water at night so as not to steam the plants in the heat of the day

I water in early morning and evening, never in direct sun. Squash and kale are doing ok. Tomatoes are blooming but no tomatoes set yet. We get blossom drop from the heat

Main reason I quit a garden...1 crop of tomatoes. Have to wait till after Easter for no frost then one crop and then it's too hot for them to set even with bloom set. Cheaper just to go to the store.
