Man it's been wet around here, two years really, last fall was a wet harvest, this one is starting out worse. Southern MN.
Got a couple acres of beans out yesterday afternoon, I had 5 acres of early beans that got planted early. I think they will be over 13%, will know in a bit when I get to the elevator. But need to start somewhere, we are running out of time this far north.
Finally have a combine that can eat some green stem beans, the F series liked to bipinch and plug the feed drum, the M2 must have a weak feed drum clutch as even shimming it it liked to plug. The L3 grumbles a lot but sure took in a lot of wet material, some stems and unfortunately some wet weeds.
So humid, ground is so wet, it will be a challenge to find more that works today. There just isn't much drying going on. Had 20mph winds yesterday, and dew was still on the grass at 1:00pm yesterday!
See some neighbors starting corn, but not sure if they are doing high moisture corn in the silos.... I hear 25% corn is a nice find, mostly higher.
