Clover foot plot in a grazing pasture

I getting ready to sow a food plot for deer & it is in a cattle pasture. I have the ground plowed now, waiting for some rain before I sow the seeds. I was looking at TSC Clover Crush since it is a perennial mix, which I understand clover is a perennial anyways. The cows have 10-acres they graze on & the plot I am wanting to sow is 1-acre. Would a feed store be a better cheaper option or am I wasting my time doing this inside a pastured area?

Your food plot can be made to work it is just a little more work. If cattle are still in the pasture you will need to fence off or somehow separate the food plot from them. Allow the deer access. Put the plot next to the woods or in a small cut. Deer like cover they can get to quickly. Most seed stores will be better than TSC. This time of year food plot mixes are big business for them.
