JD Planter plates

Bought seed corn yesterday to check row with a 290 planter. The dealer said they were medium rounds. Does anyone know what number plate is for medium rounds? I have three different sets of round plates I guess I can try and see which works best, just thought someone might know a number to try first. Thanks, Mark

If you have plastic plates, I think it's a B2. That was the one size plate we never had. The best thing to do, even if you have the right plate, is to put the plate in, then put a small amount of kernels in the hopper to see how they fit. You want all kernels to fit in the cells, and no doubles in any cell either.
