Hello, I have been planting my soybeans with a JD 7000 corn planter with dry fertilizer bins and Kinzie brush meters. This system allows me to
apply about 140 lbs/ac of P and K and i feel its a nice system that places the seed into the ground very consistantly. Having said
that, during dry years i feel that 15 in rows would do better, problem is 15 inch (inter row) planters are rather pricey for the small acerage
i farm(250ac).That leads me to my question, has anybody planted beans with JD 9350 conservation drill, they are supposed to have large
capacity grain and fertilizer boxes.?My dirt is very sandy vegtable ground.

You could add the interplant rows and Extra fertilizer boxes to your existing planter set up so that you could do 30 or 15 inch rows.Ben

The drill will not be as even as a planter... spacing wise, depth wise. You could cut your rate in half with the planter, and double back. Use the newly planted row for the mark. It takes longer, but does work.

just cause you go 15 over 30 does not mean more yield been there done that would just double back with what you got for all more ground you talking. i diamond planted with planter when i was in sand ground. still did not get very rich in that ground finally got it in government crp deal. best thing going in that type soil . good luck
