I took out my shifter on my 730 diesel last winter because it broke. Now I can't get it to in to neutral to reinstall the shifter. How do I move the forks to reinstall.

A couple of thoughts here... you don't necessarily have to set the shift rails to neutral to reinstall the shift lever/cover.

You should be able to put it back together with the shift lever corresponding to the "gear" it was in when it broke.

On the other hand, if you DO need to set the shift rails to neutral, it's gonna take a little observation and headscratching to figure that out. There's a mechanism that locks the forks to the shift rail when in certain gears and prevents "jumping out of gear" and you're gonna have to figure that out and how it works and how to release it to shift the tranny into neutral.
