Driving pattern for bean spray ?

One of the local Coop's has switched to spraying on a 30 degree angle instead of following a field edge or following the planted rows.

Creating point rows for yourself is normally not a popular method of farming unless there is some definate advantage to doing so.

Who knows their reasoning as I am coming up empty on a good reason ??

The fields I'm seeing this pattern used on are drilled beans.

I agree that they are probably smashing less, but then there would be more passes and turns for the point rows. So are you really smashing less
beans ?

I guess it makes more sense to me to plant on an angle and spray straight, but the fields I'm seeing are not planted that way.
