Is this like last year or what? I have serious work to do and here I am puttering around waiting for it to dry up.

itv will dry up and you will get started plantin like the rest of us, take advantage of the $10.00 fall bean price while you are waiting

I finally disced some ground today after a four week delay. Pretty wet in one corner,I couldn't quite get all the way to the end. The little field next to it was worse. I got over it light with the disc twice, but it was still too wet to get the disc down where it needed to be. I'll try again in the morning. I don't know if I can get any corn planted tomorrow or if it'll be Friday before I can start, but it's supposed to be dry through the weekend.
Everything else still has water standing on it,so it's not like I need to get this in quick so I can move on to another field.

We have been lucky here in SE Iowa weatherwise. A little cold but nice timed out rain events.

I would say that most of the corn was planted in Apr.and done for the most part.

Beans are about 80% completed or more.

All of my crops are up out of the ground.

I feel for you guys. I have had years like yours.

Up till just a few days ago we where way behind in the rain gauge. Some areas as much as 8 inches. Finally got some much needed rain and in the last few days got 1.5 inches. But there calling for rain off and on now for the next week or so which may or may not be good depending on how much we get. The hay is starting to look pretty good

I've sprayed two fields and disked two. That's not much of a start. It's going to be like last year when we had the same weather. The second it was dry enough I lived in the tractor and got all of the milo and beans rammed in. I was still in the tractor on June 26th. I looked at the crop calendar just now and I didn't start planting last year until the 16th of June.

This year wheat harvest will probably happen before planting.
