I contracted beans in june-july for 9.50 to 10.00 8,000 bu some of you laughed at me, whos laughing now at 8.40. have a nice day I am going to the bank!!

Where were able to get 10.50? Is that Chicago price minus your bases?

In May I put in a sell order at 9.45 at our local coop for Oct. delivery. That would have been my in pocket price.

They never got to 9.45 for Oct delivery at the coop.

After bases I did get some sold for 9.25 in my pocket.

I didn't contract any this year. I am going to run all of the rented ground in and sell it. I am going to bin all of my beans and see what happens. All I am out is the time to auger it back into a truck and take it to town. The bins around here haven't been used in many years.

Well, er, its kinda a trick answer.....you see, that is in Canadian dollars, so multiply it by .75 and you'll get the US equivalent.
Sounds good, though, doesn't it?

I like your answer Ben, wish it was back up to 12.00 like a couple years ago. yealds are lookin better and price is dropin

$8.06 cash around here.

Getting bin busting beans locally, so if prices go up, our basis will go down, we won't get much premium for a while, if ever, a round here....

I'm a farmer, get to cry either way - big crop can't get paid anything; good prices, don't have much crop to sell then, just never works out does it? ;)
