rough field

so I was gonna rip out my new alfalfa field as I did not like the stand, but I mowed it Friday and baled it last night. lots of good alflalfa coming in. got my agronomist out today and has low soil ph and will redrill the spots that are thin. biggest problem is when I planted this (it's only 4 acres) I did not have the wings down on my disc and now have a rough field. I'm hoping by redrilling will get rid of some of that but wondering if I pull a harrow over it if that will help and not rip out too many seedling plants. other option would be to load the heck out of my cultipacker. after seeing all the new alfalfa coming back, hate to kill it and start over.
thoughts??

If it's a brand new field, it'll naturally smooth out some over time. I've been told not to roll alfalfa after the plant is established because it will mess up the crown of the plant and possibly kill it. Not sure if it's true or not, but it kept me from renting one of those big rollers people are rolling bean fields with now.
