Jd 2010 plowing help

I just bought a gas jd 2010 I am looking at buying either a small chisel plow or 2 bottom or bigger plow put I am not sure how big of plow it can handle any ideas would be greatly appreciated

I think that's about a 40 hp tractor. Should pull 3 16. Pretty easy in most soil. As far as a chisel, you probably mean a field cultivator not what
most call a chisel. It would easily handle a two row 8 footer or so. On a real chisel the rule is 10 hp per shank

A friend of mine had a 2010, and it was god on a 2-16 setup. 3-16's were way too much, and it struggled some with 3-14's. It
would walk right along with 2-16's, though, and pull them fairly deep.

I used my 2010 to pull my 3-16 once, but that was in the spring. Nice and loose. Takes my 4020 to pull the same 3-16 in the fall.
