raised beds work ?

I live in northwest Ohio and with all the rain we have gotten my garden is shot. The ground is millgrove loam tiled sill lost about everything except weeds. I also planted 500 strawberry plants this spring they are surviving. but are lost in the weeds. Should I replant the strawberries in a new weed free area this fall ? My other question is has raised beds saved your plants from all the rain ?
Thank you for your advise.

I have a number of raised bed and a normal garden Been luck that both are doing well even with all the rain we have had and at on time the garden was 6 inches under water in some areas. When I do a raised bed I fill it with composted manure and things seem to really like that stuff

Old, thank you for a reply, are you leaning towards organic ? I am thinking that way ? Because many of the older farmers in my area through the years have die from cancer. Of course back then you had no protection from the spray. Now with the sprayers that have cabs I hope you are safe. Still cannot believe that with the booms spread it's as wide as our barn.

I 99% organic. Reason I say 99% is once in a blue moon I might use 7 dust but most years I do not have too. I do use herbs an marigolds to help cut down on bug. Only reason I have my horses is so I can compost the hay and manure they give me. I have 2 big compost piles right now one form last year and one I piled up this year. After about 2 or years it makes for some real good stuff to grow stuff in. I have in the past had pepper plants that where as tall as I am and I stand 6 foot tall. My tomato's this year if I had cages tall enough would be around 8 foot tall due to all the rain and the horse manure I use in my garden. It is a bear to pick the tomato's this year because they have fallen down and then intertwined into each other
