Finished today. The fellow who was baling had bearing go bad in his baler. Got hot enough it started smoking. The fellows brother baled the rest today. The NH bales a tighter bale than the JD, but the JD bales are a lot easier to tear apart and feed by hand. Ended up with a few bales less than last year, but considering as dry as it was and as many years as it has been since these fields were seeded, the yield wasn't bad at all. 92 52 inch round bales this year compared to 97 last year on 20 acres. We even found time to go to Watertown and get in the majority of an A level minor league baseball game.

Where I am Missouri a guy can not get in the field yet due to to much rain. I want to cut hay but have to have 3-4 dry days to do so and so far we get rain every other day. Was so hot an muggy today you could not walk 100 yards with out having seat pouring off of you

It must be better down there than here. I baled yesterday and got about a third of what I got last year. It is a lot earlier this year but it was headed out. I figured I'd cut it and hope for a second cut.

Well good, so then you have time to come over to Wisconsin. I have another 110 acres to go. You can run the new mower.

OLD....Same up here [Clark Co. Wi] Have been getting way too much rain for these heavy clay soils. If weather pattern changes..and thats a big IF..may get too start cutting June 20 or so. Normally start last days of May.

The same weather here in pa. Chance of rain everyday for the foreseeable future. Hayfields are thick and the hay will yield but I'm afraid the quality will be compromised before we get weather dry enough to make it.

Same here in western PA. 60% or better chance of Thunderstorms in the forecast for 9 of the next 10 days. Only supposed to rain on the 10th day.

Had rain every couple days for the last 3 weeks. Some dairy guys got theirs off as silage or wrapped bales during a 2.5 day window we had.
