what kind of grass is this?

I apologize but don't know my grasses really well. I have some of this growing around the barn, thought it was johnson grass but don't see the white rib that is supposed to be prevalent. Maybe big blue stem?

I second the "brome". The yellow flowers would be the most indentifying feature....as the other pictures are not that clear. "Smooth Brome" otherwise just known as "brome" is flowering now and pollinating.
 
Redruff........I"ve been growing brome for years and only found out (noticed) this year about the "M" on the leaves. An old hippie buddy of mine brought it to my attention. You (I) wouldn't have thought he'd have known a thing about grasses. You're absolutely correct about the "M".
 
Seed pods look like cheat in the top of the first picture, but when you added the yellow flowers picture, it's not cheat.
