5-4 I planted beans on a 50 ac farm, 20 ac turbo-tilled, 20 ac disced,10 no-tilled planted the farm in one day, beans looked good excepted for disced ground had to replant only 90,000 pop out of 180,000 planted came up. didn't adj the planter depth for the disced ground and planted to deep. replanted 140,000 one bag per ac left the drilled over the 90,000 will see what kind of mess I have this fall...anyone else do anything like this???

If evenly spaced, the experts say 80,000 population can give you about full yield, but you need a good year to not lose more plants between now and harvest.....

Inter planting can make harvest interesting, as the beans will dry down a little different. Here where we get a killing frost most falls to even things up it works out, in a warm climate it can pose a problem some years.

I maybe would have cut down my replant population, but you never know what the year brings, you might have done it perfect for how the year goes!

may not work in your area but around here we found out 4 to 6 seed per foot of row in 36" rows roughly 60 to 90 thousand will yield just as well as the higher pouplations actually can use less but with the scourge of palmer amaranth the heavier pop helps with weed control, one neighbor claims he only uses around 70,000 per acre in 30" rows even on double crop
