I posted this on t talk but thought I'd try here to

About how much would it cost to drill in about 2 acres of tall fescue hay? We have a couple acre that hasn't been harvested in a long time its starting to get weeds and stuff there is some clover growing I was thinking of maybe running a disc over it once and drilling in more seed would it flatten back out if I did that? Also I won't cut it for probably a year or 2 but it will be brush hogged I was also thinking of spraying 2-4d once it comes up. I just want to get this field into shape if I want to hay it

Mow it every 30 days, in 2-3 years you will have a nice grass/clover hay field. Assuming some grass is there, and you have the ph and fertility right, and its level enough.

No need to rip it up and then plant back what is already there. As well you are too late to plant a grass crop in most parts of the country.

Encourage the grass, discourage the broadleaves, and good to go.
