plan on broadcast seeding a cover crop of buckwheat on my field this year. what's the best way to cover it after broadcasting? Disk set to almost no angle? thanks, Bill

That would work also. A little slow. If you are doing a large are you can scratch it in with a disk that is just barely turning ground. I have done wheat that way in the past as well.

Seed it heavy if broadcasting and make sure you don't have "gaps" or missed spots. Usually does the best drilled in. I use 50lbs. + - an acre. Broadcasting it I'd would think about 80 lbs. take your time and make sure you don't miss spots. Good luck.

Roll it a couple times it'll come up Buckwheat will grow about any way you do it.Also if you want to keep it going the whole season just disk it in once it seeds and it'll come right back.On the other hand if you don't want it coming back for the rest of the year disk or cut it before it goes to seed that stuff it persitant.I grow it for my wife's Honeybees and its also a very good deer plot plant as they love it.
