Wheat and rye have taken on a green lush and the temp has been above average, that is until today and its normal, people are ready to stir some dirt. Lets get this party started....

will finish putting disc blades on today, new brake bands on farmall ''M''tomorrow, 6400 drill ready to go yetter cart needs greased, 4430 needs bazel for radio. rebuilt foam markers on sprayer, new 10 gal tips, everything should be ready this week

I'm never ready, but I manage to force myself to get out there. I'm always glad when it's all over with in the fall and all I have to do is take care of the cattle.

Got the taters in yesterday and tilled the rest of the garden area yesterday. Then got out to the barn and dug up a wheel barrow load of fertilizer and threw it out in one of the garden ares so the rain we have today will leach it into the ground. 42 and raining here today so fixing a nice big pot of Chili

Certainly not. I have to put fertilizer tanks and all of the associated goodies on the planter. I figure two long days will do it. I also need to put a new radio in the 4440 so that the GPS will work with the radio on. I also have to switch the front tires back to row crop on the planting tractor. Oh, and all three of the big tractors need serviced. Seriously, I need another month or two. Not of cold weather mind you, but just time to get everything ready before hitting the field. Oh, and there are about 600 acres that need to be worked. I'm stressing just thinking about it.

Was able to see some fields yesterday but we are getting another covering of snow today. Whit is all that one can see here now. I have been trying to get ready for when it breaks though.

Mechanically everything is ready to go. Electronically, I'm far from ready. I'm installing auto steer on the planter tractor, putting a new Precision monitor and Graham electric unit drives on the planter. Next week all the electronics go in. I have a feeling that by the end of planting I will be bald from pulling my hair out. I have an accumulated four miles of point rows and the fancy electronics will prevent double planting, BUT!!!!
