6 row buffalo row cultivator

I tried it and found my 4020 wouldn't even try to lift it. My 3150 MFWD will lift it but it really makes the front light. Not sure of my Buffalo number, but it is a six row narrow with disc hillers and shields. I talked with the guys from buffalo and they told me to add a lift assist wheel in the back. Al

Well if it anything like my old 766IH with a 133 IH 6 row cultivator the book said to have 10 100# weights on the front to hold it down. Just have to try it to find out. Bandit

I did use my 4020 for rotary hoes, danish tine, RM JD cultivator, and rolling type harrow. All where 6 narrow and did it with no trouble. comparing the no till style buffalo to a standard unit would be like comparing a Toyota pickup to a Sherman tank. My buffalo has 3 times more iron than a standard cultivator. Thats way my 4020 wouldn't touch it. Al

Buffalo cultivators weight a lot, Make sure you have a big tractor on it.Friend of mine learned the hard way and hit a car on the road.

So I'll have to use the 4440 on a six row buffalo? Im in transition and currently have a 6 row notill JD 7000. I'm making sure I can lift a buffalo with the tractors I have or if I need to step down to a 4 row. Thanks

800 345 5073 should get you buffalo planter parts.

I had a 4 row 4630 model cultivator. The first year got it at ridging time and ran it without the disc hillers with a Massey 255.With front weights you shouldn't have too much trouble.
