Frost seeding pasture?

I want to overseed some predominantly grass pasture (4 acres roughly) with some alfalfa and clover mix and maybe some winter peas. The pasture was grazed down over the last 2 months in rotation by cows, it's not been heavily grazed, still a good amount of grass. The snow we had should be melted off by the end of the day and the forecast is calling for a week of good freeze/thaw cycles. Should I overseed this now or wait another month? I'm just going to broadcast with towed spreader behind lawn tractor.

You want to wait as late in the year as you can or the seed will start to grow then get froze off before it gets going good so you loose most of it. I wait till late march to frost seed clover
