late planted oats

Back at the end of July, I asked about planting oats for forage. They have been ready to cut for over a week, but the field has been too soft. I was able to flail chop a couple feeder wagon loads the other day. Still left some tracks in low areas, but not bad. The oats are yielding a lot more forage than I expected, considering the late planting date and lower than usual planting rate. Seeding looks pretty good, too.

Nice deal it looks like!

Typically very low test weight if it seeds out late like this, but nice forage.
