would you tedd hay that has had a day of drying to make sure it is ready the next day?? alfalfa grass mix . And I mean if when you look at it mor than half is not dry.

I have used my tedder a bunch this year, as drying has been a b!tch. I tedd in the morning with a heavy due on so I do not loose leaves, rake around noon and Bale at two.

raking losses 7-10% of the hay and tedding losses alot more then that if the hay is more then 50% dry, so I would say not unless it is an emergency.

(quoted from post at 21:58:07 07/16/14) could someone post a picture of a tedder we don,t use them here

When it is damp, there won't be much leaf loss.

I usually turn alfalfa soon after I cut it, and try to kick it again as soon as the dew gets pretty much off the next day
