Baling hay, between the rain drops

I have forty acres of hay down and we got a surprise sprinkle yesterday, put hay at forty percent, hit it this am about 11 and hay was running 17 to19 percent, got a brief shower, less than a tenth of an inch and put me back on a holding pattern, just wish I could get R done..

I FINALLY finished last Friday. I cut, raked and baled 55 acres,296 round bales, between mid afternoon last Tuesday and about 7:45 Friday night, all alone. Now if I could just get it moved off. We got another 2.3 inches of rain on already saturated ground Saturday night. More showers tomorrow they say.

Yep been a year that the weather guessers get it about 10% right. I still have an area that should yeild around 7-10 big rounds to do but the weather guesses do not say I can do it till late next week then I say let it rain let it rain but not like last year where we got 15 inches in 5 days

It's been tough this year. Made my best bales of the year last week, only had 1.8 inches of rain in a shower, a sprinkle, and a downpour. Somehow got 160 nice small squares made between all that, much better than the previous 4 weeks.

Now we have 63 as the high yesterday and just into 70s for today, hay doesn't dry well but at least its not raining.

Ya,we've only had a few sprinkles so far today. I needed a few days to haul a bunch of manure out anyway. The pressure is off so I can relax some, even if it's just in my mind.

Hey Animal, today was the first time I cut hay in a month, I just said the heck with it this year - no cut unless it is a sure thing. By the way, I get my organic cert. tomorrow supposedly.

Try "WeatherBug" program on your PC. It's the first thing I look at every day. It's very accurate and has radar feature.
