Non rr soybeans herbicide.

I"m about to plant a field of conventional beans, I know it"s late
but there is still time in my area. Main weed pressure is rag
weed, volunteer rye grass, and some other grasses. What
should i use as pre emergent and when should I apply it,
ground will be worked this week

You can use Prowl H2O 15 days before planting, preplant surface and at planting and up to 2 days after planting. See the instructions for north of I-80.

Post emergent you can use Arrow 2EC or Select Max on grass and Butyrac 200 (2-4-DB) for broadleaf weeds. Check the labels to be sure they fit your needs.

Select Max is a tad better for me than Arrow was, supposed to be the same active ingredient maybe just had one of those years when I tried Arrow.

But that will take care of any grass issue in a growing bean crop.

Getting rid of broad leaves is tougher, the available options never do it all, you need to combine stuff. So very good to use a pre to get broad leaves.

Never heard of any of the 24D stuff sprayed after the beans emerge? Around here. Tried to use some before planting once in spots, waited 2-3 weeks to plant, won't ever make that mistake again, wherever I sprayed 24D the beans grew sideways and no pods. My cold wet soils, high organic matter, guess that is a bad idea.....

Valor or Sonic are often used pre emerge for broadleaf control in beans around here. Valor works a bit better in my type soils, Sonic works well in milder soils.

Whatever you use Check the label for carry over to next years crop.

Some herbicides can cause trouble 10 to 15 months later for other crops that may be in your rotation.

Neighbor has issues this year in corn where he sprayed beans late last year.
