Is it just us.....

or is anyone else plagued with the feast or famine rains that we experience here in Missery? It seems like either we are in a draught or a flood. I have been thinking about trying a crop of sunflower and rice together, then I could have the best of both worlds, but then we would get a hard freeze on the fourth of July.

Same here is South Dakota. Some places (north east and west side) seem to get plenty, but I am not in either. Have gotten some timely rains, so hanging on, but a week or two of hot windy weather, and a lot will burn up.

Ya I hate to complain after all we need the rain but we're getting all of it at one. Corn is yellowing from too much rain. I'm just hoping it's giving the clay a good soaking.. I had foundation issues because it of the drought.

Boy did you nail it! Been the last 3 years here, floods every spring, can't make hay, then end of July it literally quits raining completely.

Was spraying today and could find wet dirt where the water table is still at surface level. And this is tiled ground....

My farm is in the circle on the forecast map that over the next 2 days should get 2+ inches.....

In August I will be praying for rain again I suppose.

Happening here in Pennsyltucky as well. Have so much stuff to get planted (vegetable farming) but, can't get on the gardens to prep the soil. Everything too wet.
