How Long to Wait Before Re-planting?

I planted my cowpeas Memorial Day. Some rows are coming up nicely, but others haven't even broken through yet. It was awful dry when I planted, but that doesn't explain why some are up and others not. I checked the drill and can't find any drops plugged. Being dry, they might have been planted a little or a lot too deep. We got some rain yesterday and last night so maybe that will spur them on. I'll give them another week and see.

Gotta go dig a few up, see what they are doing. Sprouted under ground, rotted under ground, too deep and not making it to the surface..... They will tell you if you dig a few.

Just came in from checking a couple of rows. Looks like there may be a shortage of seeds. Maybe a larger seed bridged the flutes for a pass. I see a few are still coming up, so I'll wait a bit, but looks like I might have to replant, at least some. Another lesson in farming.
