you make out alright with those storms last night? Nothing at all here but I see hail in Liberty and tornado in Orrick.

Hey Korn, Would you believe not a drop of rain throughout all this they have predicted. Wed. and Thurs. I worked like a rented mule putting in warm season grasses and helped the neighbor plant beans Wed. night till midnight and all for nothing. I still have to feel sorry for all the folks in Orrik, just happy no one was hurt. How about you are you getting any rain or is it just my area. I am trying to decide what to do about this cereal rye. My intention was to roll it and plant into it, but no better than the hay is looking around here, I am thinking about putting it up for hay. What do you think?

hah - you're asking me to check my cloudy crystal ball! We're not getting the rain either. I was just thinking of Old yesterday - 6 inch rain - 6 inches between each drop. Rain gauge is dryer than toast. I planted that sweet corn on April 12th and I'm still waiting for some of it to appear. We have decent moisture a few inches down but worked ground just dries right up. The Almanac called for warm and wet April and May. if this is wet we are trouble. At this point I think we may have a fair first cut on hay but who knows after that. Almanac says average percip for June and above average for July through Sept. I think I'd bale the rye just in case.
