diesel transfer pump

what kind of pumps are yall using for transfer tanks? i will be pumping diesel,30-50 gallon at a time, around 3 or 4 times a year from barrels.

i have a 12volt pump in my 50 gal tank in back my truck.think it came from tsc works great takes about five and a half minuets to pump 50 gallon from the tank

I've got Great Plains brand 12v and their better grade of hand pumps both from TSC plus Gas Boy and Fill Rite 110v commercial duty pumps on my biggest tanks. Some of the GPI 12v pumps are 15 years old. Good pumps. The Gas Boy is a good pump but the meter leaks a little and its a nightmare to get them worked on (read it doesnt leak that bad yet lol). The Fill Rites are nearly new so I really dont have an opinion yet. For a thousand bucks a piece with meters they better be good but we shall see...

For 200 gallons or less a year I'd hand pump. Thats what I have on my service tanks in the trucks and we pump that much through them in a month.

I use an old hand crank gas boy that works well its really old the meter leaked so I just took it off. If it sits a long time it will dry out and lose its prime,I just pop the top plate off and wet it down with a squirt of Lucas fuel treatment. Got it at the dump for free and got a new hose from Northern.T.J.
